The Economy Does Better Under the Democrats
Economically, Trump only gave us two good years - Obama's policies were still guiding most of 2017, and COVID-19 hit at the end of 2019. So Trump gave us good employment and GDP in 2018 and most of 2019. But during those two years:
- The national debt reached record highs
- American manufacturing stalled and companies started outsourcing again
- The deficit took a sharp turn for the worse
- We were in a trade dispute with China that Trump said would be easy to win, but we were showing no signs of winning it
And all that was before COVID-19 hit us.
We need a president who's economic plan isn't just borrowing a ton of money to put the economy on steroids until it crashes.
- Clinton gave us the largest surplus in history
- Obama gave us the longest recovery in decades
- Biden dug us out of the pandemic disaster
- and Kamala Harris has a plan that Goldman Sachs estimates would be a bigger boost to the U.S. economy than anything Trump might do, and which Moody's estimates would do more to add to the economy and increase household disposable income.
Donald Trump once said, "The economy does better under the Democrats." He wasn't running for president when he said it, and he tries to tell truth and sometimes does, when he has no reason to lie.
